Manoj Prabhakar

Founder & Director, Alliances

As the visionary and guiding force behind Better World Foundation, Manoj has shaped the organisation’s mission and strategy since its inception. With a deep understanding of rural development and governance, he has built the organisation into a trusted partner for government, CSR, and civil society. His role spans from designing large-scale programmes to forging strategic alliances, ensuring that BWF’s interventions are both community-driven and institutionally aligned.

Sonal Singh

Senior Advisor, Strategy & Knowledge Management

Sonal contributes to BWF’s governance with expertise in advisory, programme design, and knowledge management. She plays a critical role in strengthening organisational strategy, evidence-based delivery, and institutional learning. Her work ensures that BWF’s interventions remain adaptive, technically sound, and responsive to emerging challenges in health, education, and livelihoods.

Neetisha Besra

Neetisha Besra has 8+ years in the public sector, currently leading strategy and operations for Johns Hopkins University in India, focusing on health research and education. She has consulted for Samagra and served in the CMGGA program in Haryana, and has hands-on experience with flagship government schemes as a Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow in Jharkhand.

Subodh Mishra

Mr. Subodh Mishra has over 36 years of experience in FMCG, animal feed, nutrition, and the poultry industry. Skilled in veterinary medicine, business planning, rural development, and management, he holds a PGDRM from IRMA. He is a seasoned professional dedicated to nurturing development professionals and engaging with various organizations in multiple capacities.

Jai Vardhan Narayan

Jay Vardhan Narayan, a seasoned law practitioner, specializes in civil, criminal, constitutional, service, banking, and corporate law. Holding a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Allahabad and a Diploma in Cyber Law from the Asian School of Cyber Law, Mumbai, he has represented clients in Patna and Jharkhand High Courts. He is currently the Legal Advisor at Better World Foundation.

Dr. Ramana Acharyulu

Dr. Acharyulu, a graduate in Agricultural Sciences with a postgraduate degree from IRMA and a doctorate from Bharathiar University, has extensive experience in both the development and corporate sectors since 1982. He specializes in strategic management, sustainability, SCM and logistics, environmental management, communication, systems thinking, and rural marketing.

Vivek Grewal

Vivek Grewal, a water resources expert advising Better World Foundation, holds a master’s in hydrology from The University of Arizona and a bachelor’s from IIT BHU. A Fulbright Scholar, he has 7 years of experience in the water sector, including work as a Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow. His expertise covers watershed management, hydrogeology and water budgeting.

Shashi Bala Rai

Shashi Bala Rai is an Assistant Professor at Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET), Panipat, with over 11 years of experience in higher education and consultancy. She teaches Business Analytics and Digital Marketing while leading the Outreach Committee and serving as Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell.
