To protect the interest of its labor force in the organized and unorganized sectors in the fast changing economic scenario through effective implementation of various skill development, self employment training and other youth centric schemes.
The Government of Jharkhand through the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development wants to achieve these broad objectives of the state, the Department is dedicated to participate in people centric initiatives mandated by Govt. of India and Govt. of Jharkhand such as e-shram card, social security schemes for labors, upgradation of ITIs, remodeling ITIs into centers of excellence, conversion of employment exchanges into model career centers etc.
Better World Foundation is providing program implementation consulting to the department. In addition to continuing most of the schemes initiated earlier, we are undertaking to start a number of new schemes. Apart from schemes relating to modernization of administrative machinery in existing ITIs, we are committed to cover most blocks of Jharkhand with at least one ITI. Trained youths in various trades will also be able to fill the gap of trained manpower in the state. Department has various employment exchanges which are being remodeled as model career and counseling centers for the unemployed youth. The Department is committed to provide suitable employment opportunities by organizing Rojgar Melas frequently in all the districts of Jharkhand.
