Mantu Manjhi – Cultivating Hope on Borrowed Land

For landless farmer Mantu Manjhi of Dhamna, bataiya (sharecropping) is his only route to survival. With Swarn Samriddhi seeds and training from BWF, his harvest reached 1,200 kg — a 20% jump from earlier seasons — earning him ₹27,600.

His success is now inspiring others who farm on leased land to seek knowledge and move forward with dignity.
