Village Farmer Committees (VFCs) – Jamui, Bihar

Program Overview

Under the Model Village Development Project (MVDP), Village Farmer Committees were formed in Khaira and Sikandra blocks to coordinate:

• Seed & input distribution
• Model farm demonstrations
• Nutrition Garden management
• Community orchard maintenance
• Linkages with line departments
• Village-level planning & grievance redressal

These committees improve coordination, transparency, and community ownership—ensuring that benefits reach all households equitably and that local voices drive development plans.
